MMFF stands for Metro Manila Film Festival.

It is an Annual Film Festival held in Metro Manila, Philippines.

The festival runs from December 25 (Christmas Day) thru New Years Day and into the first weekend of January in the following year.

It focuses solely on Filipino Films.

Film entries for the festival are approved by the jurors of the MMFF.

During this time no foreign movies are shown in the Philippines except the movies in 3D theaters and IMAX theaters.

The MMFF started in the year 1975.

Festival highlights is the parade of floats, which represents a movie entry with their respective stars.

There is a MMFF awards night as well, announcing the Best Float Award along with the major acting awards.
