What is the difference between “than” and “then” ?

– used as a comparison

Example :

older than I am
easier said than done

rather than
other than

– at that time , that time or at the time mentioned

Example :

Dad is coming home early today. Only then we would start playing.
Back then, my brothers fight a lot.
